Technically, this submarine pier in the Ukraine is not really abandoned. The submarine base was fully operational until 1993, when it was closed. At the time, it was one of the most secret Soviet-owned bases in the world.
Today, its doors have been opened to the public and the site is now a national naval museum. Visitors can explore what was once a clandestine place full of mystery.
