Secluded romance is the name of the game at this lovely retreat. Created in the early 1980s, this boutique resort exudes Maldivian charm. Unlike other high-end resorts peppered throughout the region, the Nika Island Resort & Spa has kept things more natural, like they were before the area became a hot spot for beach lovers.
The coral reef is in excellent condition, making it a wonderful place to come face to fin with some of the area’s most exciting creatures. On land, a giant furnace once used to cast and forge metals has been transformed into a unique and worthy museum. Wind your way through the maze of tunnels, galleries, and vaults made of coral, to catch glimpses of the area’s history, as well as impressive creations made by local artists.
The coral villas are as charming as you would imagine, topped with thatched roofs and decorated with clean, crisp colors; four-poster beds; and outdoor showers. The overwater villas are beyond gorgeous, and include a patio, and a floor window to the sea. All villas include a private beach and tranquil garden.
Nika Restaurant offers both buffet and á la carte meals with a heady mix of Mediterranean and Italian flavors. The meals and beverages are included in your package.
