This two-pack of Hook Hunter diaphragm calls includes the batwing cut (two reeds and one prophylactic reed) and the Ghost cut (one reed and two prophylactic reeds). These calls require little air to mimic the calls the hunter is trying to achieve. Both offer good, crisp notes and even, raspy tones, and the tape can be trimmed for a customized fit. Having two calls provides a variety of pitch and sound when you need to get the attention of a boss hen or hung-up tom.

Every Crooked Spur call is handmade in the U.S. and hand-stretched to ensure the perfect call every time. I have used these calls, and even with my lack of expertise with diaphragm calls, I could still make decent purrs, cuts, and kee-kee calls. There is enough tape on the calls to trim it back for smaller palates. The Ghost Spur combo pack is an excellent assortment for any turkey hunter, especially those who are just learning to use diaphragm calls and aren’t yet sure which cut works best for them.
