Key Specs
Instead of using a standard paint tray, this Wagner model uses a hollow, paint-filled extension handle to continually apply paint as you go. Whenever your roller is running dry, you simply pump the trigger at the bottom of the handle which feeds paint to the roller cover.
This handy tool is actually easier to fill than you might think, and thanks to the included fill tube, you just pull back the plunger to draw paint directly from the bucket into the handle. It does have to use a special perforated roller cover though, so you won’t be able to use any existing covers you have on hand.

If you’re just looking for a basic 4-inch roller, look no further than this high-quality Purdy model. Its thick wire frame, combined with an ergonomic handle, should provide the sturdiness and stability needed to maintain maximum control while you work.
The 14-inch overall length also makes it great for accessing hard-to-reach areas, and unlike some other 4-inch rollers, this one is also compatible with threaded extension poles. It also includes a 3/8-inch nap roller cover, which is suitable for use on a wide range of surfaces.
